Collection: Ammonites

One of the most recognisable fossil groups. Ammonites first appeared in the Devonian and reached their peak during the Jurassic and died out at the end of the Cretaceous as part of a mass extinction. They evolved into many hundreds of species and often looked similar to some nautiloids.
