2025 has seen The Fossil Shop enter an exciting new chapter.

Originally founded as part of Hidden Horizons Ltd and based in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, the shop has long been known for its carefully selected, legally and ethically sourced fossils from the Yorkshire Coast, across the UK, and around the world.

After eight years working with Hidden Horizons - and five years helping to build The Fossil Shop - I (Mike, alongside trusty shop dog Percy) have now taken it on as my own independent venture. With fresh stock and a renewed look, the shop is back - now entirely online.

Although we have no physical shop at the moment (and none planned just yet), everything you loved about The Fossil Shop remains: fascinating fossils, trusted sources, and a genuine passion for natural history.

This is just the beginning, and there are some exciting ideas on the horizon. For now, I’m focused on offering quality fossils you can trust, direct to your door.
