The Fossil Shop is a UK-based online fossil store offering ethically sourced fossils from the Yorkshire Coast, across the UK, and around the world. Now independently owned (more on that here), we’ve relaunched with fresh stock and a renewed focus - no physical shop, just carefully selected fossils delivered straight to your door.

From ammonites and trilobites to dinosaur fossils and more, every item is chosen for quality and authenticity.

FAQ

Are your fossils real?

YES! we guarantee our fossils are the real deal. We do see the value in replica pieces and if we are selling them they will be clearly described as such on the product page.

Do you collect them all yourself?

Sadly not. We do collect from our local area of the Yorkshire Coast but the more exotic pieces are bought from our trusted suppliers.

Can I go fossil hunting?

YES! Anyone can go hunting for fossils. There are some guidelines to follow as certain areas have different rules so best to read on the specific area you would like to visit.

Where's the shop gone?

The physical shop has closed and the business taken over and moved to an online only platform for now. Read more about it here.

Shipping Info

All our items are sent using a Tracked48 service via Royal Mail. Larger items may be sent with a courier. Either way you will receive a dispatch email with tracking information. We aim to dispatch orders by the next working day.
